Ron Gilbert’s The Cave Coming to Wii U

Upcoming adventuring platformer The Cave is coming to the Wii U eShop, developer Double Fine has revealed.

The platformer was devised by the creator of Monkey Island Ron Gilbert and focuses on a group of people exploring a magical talking cave. It had already been announced as coming to Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and PC sometime in early 2013.

The announcement came via a demo at PAX Prime yesterday by Double Fine rep Greg Rice (thanks Joystiq).

We don’t have the foggiest idea how they’ll use the GamePad tablet but we’ll certainly let you know as soon as the information seeps out.
