Assassin’s Creed Mirage offers you a plethora of unique items that you can utilize in your efforts to eliminate different foes on your adventure. However, some tools may be better suited for Basim than others, so knowing exactly which tools you should be unlocking first on your adventure through the streets of Baghdad can be the difference between life and death. With tools of death and deception, knowing exactly where you should start your journey is rather important, so let’s see which of these tools can be the best bang for your Dirham.
Where To Get New Tools in Assassin’s Creed Mirage
To purchase new tools, you’ll just need to make a quick stop at any of the Assassin’s Bureaus you encounter on your journey through the cities you will visit. There are quite a few of them, and you’ll discover plenty as you go through the story. Speak to Ibn Musa in any of these buildings to start unlocking tools.
As you continue assassinating members of The Order, you can begin unlocking more tools. With 6 tools overall to have in your arsenal, knowing which ones you need to keep your eyes peeled for is important, so let’s go through the Pros and Cons of each tool you can unlock, alongside my rating of them.
All Tools In Assassin’s Creed Mirage – Ranked
After completing the mission “Back to Baghdad”, you’ll unlock your first Assassin’s Bureau building, and two tools that you can use right away: the Throwing Knives and the Torch. Each tool has its unique strengths and weaknesses, and you can find out which tools I believe should be unlocked first below.
4. Traps
Traps were one of my least used tools during my playthrough, and I aimed to keep things as stealthy as possible during my time in Mirage. I found their use extremely situational and would lead to more issues than they were worth overall. Maybe you’ll find them a bit more exciting than I did, but with the variety of other tools available at your disposal, they easily find themselves at the bottom of my list.
3. Noisemakers
The noisemaker is essentially the whistle that Basim can do but enhanced. Getting guards’ attention is quite important, especially if you’re trying to eliminate them quietly and without much fuss. Using a noise maker can bring a crowd of guards your way, which could result in a bloody battle if you’re not careful. When using the Noisemakers, you’ll get a ring to let you know how far the noise will reach, so prepare yourself before you throw and get ready to stab to your heart’s content.
2. Blowdart
At first, I used the Throwing Knives almost all the time. The fact that you could eliminate enemies from a distance was a blessing, but it could result in some issues, with other guards noticing that you were taking out their team. The Blowgun, on the other hand, has a bit of a warm-up period before Guards will notice that someone on their team has been affected by its sleeping serum, so you can tag plenty and move in for the silent kill afterward. Easily one of the best tools available in the game, besides my first choice.
1. Smoke Bombs
Finally, my choice for the best tool you can unlock immediately in Assassin’s Creed Mirage has to go to the Smoke Bomb. While the Stealth aspect of the game is nearly flawless, the combat can be slightly cumbersome if you find yourself surrounded. What better way to turn the tides in your favor than dropping a smoke bomb at your feet and assassinating your foes where they stand? You could also use these to make a quick getaway if that is your preferred method as well.
