The Roadmap for Future Characters in Honkai: Star Rail Have Been Discovered by Leakers, and 2.0 Could Be Sooner Than You Think

Wait a minute, is anyone else feeling overwhelmed by all these characters??

Since its debut, Honkai: Star Rail has not slowed its roll with dishing out new character after new character, and new leaks have revealed that they don’t seem to be planning on stopping anytime soon. These characters have been revealed to come out in the 1.6 update and the 2.0 update. Now this could mean that there is either a gap that leakers have missed or that the 2.0 update will occur much sooner than any player might have expected.

For 1.6, the banner will showcase characters Ruan Mei and Dr. Ratio. Although there haven’t been many in-game appearances, Ruan Mei has been introduced into Honkai: Star Rail in current and previous renditions of the events coming to Simulated Universe. Ruan Mei is one of the members who have worked on the project alongside Herta, Screwllum, and Stephen Lloyd to improve the functions of the project. She has also appeared in a Light Cone like many other characters that have preceded her but didn’t initially release with the game’s debut. You can see her in a portrait alongside Screwllum and Herta in Geniuses’ Repose. Ruan Mei is said to be an Ice Harmony character who has a kit most similar to Tingyun and Bronya.

The other character, Dr. Ratio, is less known and was first seen in the mass reveal of 20 or more characters a few weeks after Honkai: Star Rail originally came out. Old leaks have stated that he was Erudition, however, new rumors have come about to state that he may be from the Path of the Hunt.

The 2.0 update also has a bunch of brand new faces for the game; however, if you watch Honkai: Star Rail content outside of the game, one of them may look familiar. During this patch, a tall female character named Hanabi will be on the Five-Star Banner and then switch with a tall female character called Black Swan. During one of their banners, we will also see a new four-star character, a young male named Misha.

Black Swan has been circulating through the leaker’s community for a while and has been revealed to be a Wind Nihility Pathfinder. But that isn’t all; Black Swan has graced players before. Revealed in the Fable of the Stars, Black Swan is revealed to be speaking in prophecies about the Aeons and the Trailblaze purpose. Although not much is known about her association, she is hinted to have allegiance with the Garden of Memories—the same people from the organization as the lady who organizes the Forgotten Hall.

The last of these new characters is Misha, one of the characters with the least details. Like Dr. Ratio, he was revealed in the mass exodus of leaks back a few months. His kit is said to be Ice Destruction Path, but not much else is confirmed. He will likely be in the second phase of the 2.0 banner, as many of the four-star characters have since Honkai: Star Rail originally began.

It’s quite exciting to know what characters lie ahead for players in Honkai: Star Rail, but since these are leaks, they are not final in what Honkai: Star Rail will release. This information can and is subject to change upon HoYoverse’s final say-so.
