Fae Farm eases you into its dungeon mechanics with the first dungeon, Saltwater Mines. So, by the time that you are ready to enter the second dungeon, the Floating Ruins, you will be a seasoned pro. However, there’s one significant difference between the first and second dungeon, and that is the fact that you will be constantly afflicted by the miasma infesting the dungeon, with a bar at the top of the screen that shows you how long you have until it becomes suffocating. Fortunately, there’s a way to avoid the miasma, and it involves brewing a Fairbreath Potion.
How to Survive the Miasma and Brew a Fairbreath Potion in Fae Farm
Before now, you will have seen small areas of Miasma from the Spooky Woods to the Elf Village. They have been no big deal and can be easily run over as the effect bar quickly depletes when not in direct contact. However, since the miasma has completely flooded the Floating Ruins, you will need to brew Fairbreath Potions to be able to survive the Floating Ruins.
The first thing that you need to do before you can craft a Fairbreath Potion is to make sure that you have crafted a Potion Brewing Cauldron on your Homestead. As long as you spent some time mining in the Saltwater Mines, you should have or be close to having the required number of materials, which are as follows:
Potion Brewing Cauldron Materials
- x2 Iron Ingot.
- x2 Copper Ingot.
- x2 Oak Lumber.
- x20 Rough Citrine.
- x20 Rough Peridot.
Once you have your fancy new cauldron and are all ready to live out your inner teenage witch dreams, simply interact with it to bring up the potion menu. As you level up and further the story, you will unlock new potions to brew. There are three sizes of Fairbreath Potion that you can craft. The difference between them is the duration that they are active.
Fairbreath Potion | Materials Required | Duration Active |
Small Fairbreath Potion | Steel Cut Clover x2 Blob Gobs x1 | Six in-game hours |
Medium Fairbreath Potion | Steel Cut Clover x3 Blob Gobs x2 Spore Essence x2 | Nine in-game hours |
Large Fairbreath Potion | Steel Cut Clover x4 Blob Gobs x3 Spore Essence x3 Blue Starch Bits x2 | Fifteen in-game hours |

All of the necessary materials for the Fairbreath Potion are crafted from resources that you collect. You can craft them from the following:
Fairbreath Potion Materials | How to Craft |
Steel Cut Clover | Use the Potion Ingredients Station to turn Clover Feed into Steel Cut Clover at a rate of 4:1. |
Blob Gobs | Deposit Bloblins into the Fae Critter Conservatory to receive Blob Gobs at a rate of 1:1. |
Spore Essence | Use the Potion Ingredients Station to turn Sporeweed into Spore Essence at a rate of 4:1. |
Blue Starch Bits | Grow potatoes in the Fae farming plots, and use Magic Crop Swap Fertilizer on Growing Potatoes for a chance of growing Azure Spuds. Harvest Azure Spud and then use the Potion Ingredients Station to chop them into Blue Starch Bits at a rate of 1:3. |
Now that you have crafted your Fairbreath Potion, you are ready to dive deep into the Floating Ruins and find out the source of the miasma that has been plaguing the Elf Village.
