To talk to the professionals at their tables, select one of the Sims and click “Ask for Details About Career”. After a brief discussion, you’ll finish the conversation, allowing you to repeat the process twice more. Once you’re done, select your teacher and pick “Discuss Future” for one last chat about career choices.

With all that done, you can now talk to other students, go to the bathroom, or even nap on the park bench outside until Career Day ends. Compared to the hustle and bustle of school, Career Day is generally much more relaxing and enjoyable for your Sim.
