Pikmin 4: How to Unlock True Ending

Pikmin 4 has arrived and fans of this now classic Nintendo series are very pleased with the new sequel for Switch. The fourth part of the unique puzzle/strategy game with astronauts and Pikmin creatures brought a lot of new features, and one of the biggest is the extended duration of the game.

In order to complete the story mode in Pikmin 4, you need to play a lot more after the credits roll to get that hidden ending. Check out the guide below to find out how to unlock True Ending in Pikmin 4.

How to Get the True Ending in Pikmin 4

In order to get the True Ending in Pikmin 4 you first need to finish the regular story, clear the Leafy Showdown, and watch the normal ending. After the first credits roll, you can continue with the game. Now, you will need to accumulate 11,000 Sparklium in the post-game in order to travel to a new area – Giant’s Hearth.

Continue progressing through Giant’s Hearth to reach the true final area – Primordial Thicket. In this location, you can complete the “Cure Oatchi” quest, and find Castaways and treasures as in any other zone in the game. Once you have made enough progress, you will meet the real final boss of the game – Louie and the Ancient Sirehound in the “Cavern for the King” cave.

Louie is a character that will be familiar to players of previous Pikmin games and Ancient Sirehound is an overgrown version of Oatchi that will use all kinds of elements on you. Cue in the Pikmin metal music, and good luck! If you manage to beat them, the True Ending will kick off – enjoy the show, you’ve earned it.
