In Warframe, the best way to shake up gameplay is to try out some new frames. Each frame has a unique set of abilities and passives, making building out their mod set a challenging but rewarding process. It’s also bonus mastery, which is great if you’re gunning for that next mastery level. One frame doesn’t get much attention (for the right reasons), but is good to snag regardless. Here’s how to get Hydroid in Warframe.
Where to Farm Hydroid in Warframe
Hydroid is gotten through farming the Vay Hek boss fight, found on the Oro star chart node on Earth. You need to be at least Mastery Rank 5 to access the mission, so grind out some other gear if you aren’t there yet. Once you are, head into the mission and progress until you spot Vay Hek. If you’re having trouble killing him, you’re waiting until his face is exposed to deal damage to him. Once you’ve dealt enough damage, he’ll retreat to a new location a few times before finally reaching the boss arena.
The first phase of the fight goes the same. Wait for his face to be exposed, then shoot it. Eventually, he’ll reach a second phase where he gets into a giant mech, at which point you can deal damage to him whenever you please. Deal enough damage, and he’ll be defeated. Simply extract from the mission, and you’ll have a chance to get one of Hydroid’s parts. Hydroid’s Neuroptics and Chassis have an equal 38.72% chance to drop, whilst the Systems only have a 22.56% chance of being rewarded. You can pick up the main blueprint for credits from the Market in your Orbiter.
