If you’ve been waiting to put an enemy in your sights and bring them down with a sniper bullet, it looks like you’ll need to stick to the more popular mainstream titles like Battlefield and Call of Duty…at least, for now.
City Interactive’s Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2, a sequel that’s expected to offer a number of refinements over the original game and a handful of new missions that will test your utmost shooting skills, won’t be shipping this year. The publisher confirmed that the game won’t meet its current October 9 release date, instead opting to bring it out January 2013 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Though an official reason wasn’t given for the delay, we’re guessing that City just wants to make sure that the sequel is every bit as polished as it deserves to be, something the original Sniper: Ghost Warrior didn’t exactly meet. That said, it still offered some fresh shooting thrills, so fans of the original definitely have something to look forward to.
Look for a preview of the game soon!
