Taking photos in Tears of the Kingdom is a huge part of the experience. Not only can you find the perfect shot, but you’ll need it for some questlines and filling out the Hyrule Compendium. So, how do you take pictures in Tears of The Kingdom? We have the answer for you below. Check it out.
How to Take Photos in Tears of The Kingdom
To take a picture in Tears of The Kingdom, first, you’ll need to unlock the camera app in the game, which can be done by beginning the “Camera Work in The Depths” Side Quest given to you by Josha and Robbie at Lookout Landing. Talk to them, and they will ask you to go into the Depths. You can enter right outside of Lookout Landing at the big chasm surrounded by purple and red goo. Hop down to being the quest.
Once you’ve completed the requirements, Robbie will give you the camera.
You use the camera by holding L, selecting the Camera icon on your ability wheel, and then click A to snap the picture once you have what you want in the frame.
The Camera can also take selfies if you hit the X button. This will flip the camera around. Taking pictures of all the weapons, armor, materials, creatures, and plants will further fill out your Hyrule Compendium. This is more for you than anything else, but it’s fun to do, and we’ve been having a blast trying to photograph everything.
Getting close to enemies can be tricky, so don’t forget to use the zoom function on the camera. Just hit up on the D-pad to zoom in so you can take pictures from farther away.
