Namco Bandai recently hopped behind the wheel for the development of the next Super Smash Bros. game, with various members of the team still behind the project to assure it retains the right sense of balance when it eventually comes out for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.  But Namco is already prepping some kind of announcement for the game, even though it’s still early in development.

According to a teaser site that recently opened on their page, an “All-Star Battle” is set to be revealed in a matter of days.  What that could very well be hasn’t been quite revealed yet, but could we be seeing a few Namco faces joining the battle against Nintendo’s all star-roster?  It wouldn’t be the first time that Namco teamed up with Nintendo for such a venture, as Pac-Man appeared in the arcade version of Mario Kart.  The announcement is set to debut this Thursday, so by that time, we’ll have a better idea of what Namco has in mind.

Hey, Namco, while we’re thinking obscure characters for Smash Bros., how about Dig-Dug?  He’s always good for a fight!
