Regieleki Raid Guide for Pokemon GO: Weaknesses and Counters

A glass cannon should still be respected.

There are few things more terrifying than a primordial force anchored into a golem form, creating a being that is both alien and familiar. Regieleki falls into this category, and like its Regi siblings, it’s an extremely challenging boss. But we can whittle it down with the right team. Here is your Regieleki Raid Guide for Pokemon GO: Weaknesses and Counters.

Regieleki Raid Guide for Pokemon GO: Weaknesses and Counters

Regieleki is an Elite Raid boss, which means it’s one of the strongest challenges in the game. Despite that, it’s very much a glass cannon. So, while most Elite Raids recommend you bring in ten trainers, it’s okay if you can’t find that many. Especially with the new standards adopted by Niantic.

While the April 9 Raid is over, it’s likely we’ll get another taste of Regieleki in the future. Prior to Regieleki being released, Niantic Support tweeted that they’d be temporarily removing the Timed Research that would go along with the Raid and moving it to a later date when they’ve improved the intended distribution method.

Knowing that, let’s jump right into how we can tackle Regieleki.

Regieleki has one weakness, and that’s to Ground-Type moves. Thus, pretty much every counter for it involves a Ground-Type move.

The best counters are:

  • Primal Groudon with Mud Shot and Precipice Blades
  • Shadow Mamoswine with Mud Slap and High Horsepower
  • Shadow Golurk with Mud Slap and Earth Power
  • Groudon with Mud Shot and Precipice Blades
  • Garchomp with Mud Shot and Earth Power
  • Mega Swampert with Mud Shot and Earthquake
  • Excadrill with Mud-Slap and Drill Run
  • Shadow Donphan with Mud-Slap and Earthquake
  • Rhyperior with Mud-Slap and Earthquake

If you don’t have any of the Pokemon listed, opt for your strongest and tankiest Pokemon with Ground-Type moves and resistance to Electric-Type moves. This will be your best bet!
