Several months back, Sega relaunched its initiative to bring Dreamcast games into the spotlight, through the form of digital re-releases on Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network. That program has been working rather well, with games like Crazy Taxi and Space Channel 5 Part 2 returning, and Jet Set Radio, one of the system’s most respected games, coming this summer. What’s next?
How about Sonic Adventure 2? A listing over at Xbox.com has revealed that the game is on the way to Xbox Live Arcade, and a release for PlayStation Network is likely as well. Here’s the full product listing:
“In the fight between heroes and villains, will you choose to save the world or conquer it? The hunt for the Chaos Emeralds is on and battle lines have been drawn between Hero and Dark. Experience two unique adventures featuring both long-time heroes and new and returning villains as they battle for the fate of the world!
“Sonic Adventure 2 makes its return on Xbox Live Arcade with a full cast of playable heroes and villains, exciting two-player competitive modes, Chao Gardens, and more than 30 action-packed stages, all remastered in HD!”
Sega has since removed the listing, but it’s looking very official at this point. Look for a preview soon!
