Yoshiaki Hirabayashi announced the news over at the PlayStation Blog when he estimated that the game’s three very different storylines actually ran to being about 70 or 80 per cent of the length of RE5 each.

“So with three separate storylines, there’s plenty to play here,” he explained.

One storyline involves series favorite Leon Kennedy teaming up with Helena Harper in Tall Oaks while another puts Jake Muller and Sherry Birkin in Eastern Europe. The third and final has Chris Redfield and Tony Ponce in China.

Resident Evil 6 is hitting American shores on October 2nd this year on PS3 and Xbox 360, with a PC release date sometime after.
