The Fungus Mechanicus event in Genshin Impact is a new mashup minigame combining the tactical combat from the Fungi event with the special Mechanici towers from Theater Mechanicus. You play the role of the attackers this time around, and your final objective is to turn those elemental-filled towers to dust. And with so many weap… I mean, fungi at your disposal, it won’t be hard at all.
There are various stages for you to display your fungi-bending techniques, so here we’ll give you some tips and team suggestions for clearing those stages in Genshin Impact in record time. Or at least clear them safely to get all prizes.
Best Teams for Every Fungus Mechanicus Stage in Genshin Impact
There’s a total of seven stages in this event (excluding tutorial), with a new one being unlocked daily. More Fungi are unlocked for the later stages, so you have plenty of incentives to not rely on a single comp every time. Some Fungi will always work on various stages, though, so don’t refrain from using them frequently.
Flame of Samadhi
Team: Anemo Fungi, Hydro Fungi, Electro Fungi and Geo Fungi
Goals:
- Defeat all Mechanici
- No more than 2 Lil’ Fungi Retreated
- Complete challenge within 240s
This is the very first stage, so you won’t find yourself having much trouble with it. The Anemo Fungi can trivialize the whole ordeal by targeting its skill in the middle tower as soon as they spawn. Combine it with a few Electro hits here and there and you got yourself the first stage down.

Ice Clarity
Team: Pyro (Attack) Fungi, Pyro (Support) Fungi, Anemo Fungi and Hydro Fungi
Goals:
- Defeat all Mechanici
- No more than 2 Lil’ Fungi Retreated
- Complete challenge within 240s
Same deal as before, but the Pyro fungi are the real MVPs. Use the Attack Fungi skill to quickly breach the ice walls as soon as they arise, and follow up with more Anemo/Swirl hits to secure another stage.
Waterbag Barrier
Team: Pyro (Attack) Fungi, Anemo Fungi, Cryo Fungi and Dendro Fungi
Goals:
- Defeat all Mechanici
- No more than 2 Lil’ Fungi Retreated
- Complete challenge within 240s
There’s no real need for healing in this one, so go full offensive. Pyro is still your biggest jabber here, with Dendro being excellent at tearing elemental shields down in no time. Combine it with powerful Anemo attacks and just be careful not to let your team take unnecessary beatings.
Thundering Devices
Team: Pyro (Attack) Fungi, Anemo Fungi, Cryo Fungi and Dendro Fungi
Goals:
- Defeat all Mechanici
- No more than 2 Lil’ Fungi Retreated
- Complete challenge within 240s
The same team will work wonders again, so abuse it without thinking twice. There are some Pyro tiles on this stage you can step on, and they will damage nearby structures if you do, so move your Fungi accordingly to trigger these extra hits. Again, bring your Dendro fungi to tear down shields and burst them down with Pyro right after.
One in a Thousand
Team: Pyro (Attack) Fungi, Pyro (Support) Fungi, Anemo Fungi and Dendro Fungi
Goals:
- Defeat all Mechanici
- No more than 2 Lil’ Fungi Retreated
- Complete challenge within 240s
The special stepping devices will do most of the work if you keep using them. There’s no penalty for it, so just do it! You don’t actually need for heals here either, so just make sure that you’re bursting those mechanici as fast as possible to avoid lethal damage. Dendro’s here for the occasional shield breaking, as always.
Storm-Proof… Not
Goals:
- Defeat all Mechanici
- No more than 2 Lil’ Fungi Retreated
- Complete challenge within 240s
Team: Anemo Fungi, Cryo Fungi, Electro (Attack) Fungi and Hydro Fungi
The penultimate stage is pretty fast thanks to the devices on the floor, but be careful not to take some excessive damage from nowhere, as this stage has a tendency to do that. Heal as necessary and do your usual stuff: Don’t hold on skills as you’re better off using them as aggressively as possible.
Caution, Madness Ahead
Goals:Â
- Defeat all Mechanici
- No more than 2 Lil’ Fungi Retreated
- Complete challenge within 240s
Team: Pyro (Attack) Fungi, Geo Fungi, Electro (Attack) Fungi and Hydro Fungi
Anemo is not as effective here as it was before due to the presence of so many non-elemental Mechanici, so it might be a better call to just bring strong Reactions to the table balanced with more defensive power. Geo Fungi can help you immensely to deal with those, and those timely heals from the Hydro Fungi will make sure no mushroom is left behind in this final stretch.
