Atomic Heart Metacritic Score Revealed

Can Mundfish's sci-fi shooter fill BioShock's shoes?

With less than 24 hours until its worldwide launch, Atomic Heart, the eagerly awaited new science fiction first-person shooter meets action RPG officially had its Metacritic Score unveiled today. While the game is set for release on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on February 21, 2023, the review embargo for critics officially ended on the morning of February 20, revealing how the game was received by professional reviewers. Let’s take a look at Atomic Heart’s Metacritic Score and examine whether or not the new sci-fi shooter that has garnered BioShock comparisons lived up to the hype.

Atomic Heart Metacritic Score on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S

According to Metacritic, as of this writing Atomic Heart received a 78 PC Metascore, a 74 PS5 rating, and a 72 on Xbox Series X|S. The game does not currently have a Metascore on PS4 or Xbox One. The mid to high 70s range of Atomic Heart’s Metacritic reviews indicate the game earned a mixed reception from the critic aggregator. Furthermore, Atomic Heart does not rank in the top 100 best games on any of its platforms according to Metacritic.
