How to Get the Kiriko Heart Hands Emote in Overwatch 2

Kiriko's not giving the love we need right now.

UPDATE 1: Blizzard has confirmed that the emote was supposed to be rewarded with the Love Saves the Day challenge but isn’t. A fix is on the way, though there’s no ETA on its release.

Original Story: The Ultimate Valentine event is now up for Overwatch 2, and it brings a lot of goofy love-related stuff to the game. There’s the incredible new Hanzo skin, turning him into Cupid, along with a ton of challenges to net some Valentine’s themed rewards. One of the expected rewards is an emote for Kiriko, though looking at the challenges sadly doesn’t show the reward. Here’s how to get the Kiriko Heart Hands emote in Overwatch 2.

Where is the Heart Hands Emote for Kiriko in Overwatch 2?

If you’ve logged in in the past few days, you’ll have noticed the emote completely missing from the challenges page. It also isn’t in the hero gallery under Kiriko’s emotes, as if it doesn’t exist entirely. The only post-launch emote for Kiriko is the Headbanging emote, and unless you’re jamming out to some Valentine’s tunes, chances are that isn’t what you’re looking for.

Blizzard has yet to give anything official on why the Heart Hands emote isn’t available, though there are a few good guesses we can make. The first is that there may have been a gameplay-breaking issue with the emote, causing it to be taken out until the team can implement a fix. Another is that the event update simply bugged and didn’t include the emote. Both of these are backed up by several challenge awards.

If you check the challenge rewards under the Event tab, a select few have space for another reward. These challenges are the Blushing Pink, Mastery of Love, and Love Saves the Day challenges. You might think this is just because those challenges are single rewards, but challenges with single rewards such as Violent Delights, Violent Ends, and Struck By Cupid don’t have this problem. With that in mind, there’s a good chance three of the rewards simply aren’t available in the game yet.

While Blizzard hasn’t given a timeline as to when these will return, likely, they will sooner rather than later. This event won’t be going on for too long, so it’s in the team’s best interest to fix this ASAP. When they do, we’ll be sure to update this article.
