Wuthering Waves Pre-Order Bonus for PS5 Version Revealed

Wuthering Waves is being freed from the PC and mobile clutches and is coming to PS5 early next year. This is still a free-to-play release, but similar to other gacha console releases, there is a special paid version for Wuthering Waves that interested players can pre-order as well. If you pre-order the Wuthering Waves Awakening Bundle on the PS5, you’ll receive the following items:

• Star Flakes x5

The Awakening Bundle for the PS5 costs $9.99 and includes the following content:

• Lustrous Tide x5
• Premium Resonance Potion x10
• Premium Energy Core x10
• Advanced Revival Inhaler x15
• Wuthercake x10
• Shell Credit x500000

Even though this is a free release, the Awakening Bundle has tons of goodies and currency that will make the earlier hours of the experience much easier. Either way, this is completely optional, and only provides players with a boost for their early purchases and upgrades. There are no cosmetic awards of exclusive skins here, which is a bit of a shame.

Wuthering Waves Cross-Progression Confirmed

In addition to the console release, the developers have confirmed that Wuthering Waves supports cross-progression across all platforms. This means that no matter what platform you’re playing on, you can pick up your progress on a different device.

Wuthering Waves PS5 Release Date

Wuthering Waves is coming to PS5 on January 2, 2025, coinciding with the launch of version 2.0 which includes tons of new content, systems, and characters!

An Xbox release has not been announced just yet, and it’s hard to guess when it’ll come out on the platform, if at all. Other major Gacha releases like Genshin Impact released on Xbox three years after the PS5 release. It’s also not coming to PS4, which makes it a current-generation release only.
