Hades 2 recently came out and has been a smash hit across the world. Within days, the game has amassed thousands of positive reviews on Steam and now players are wondering if it’ll ever come to console. Well, we’ve got that figured out.
Is Hades 2 Coming to Console?
Hades 2 is a sequel to the famous roguelike hack-and-slash game Hades, developed by Supergiant Games, and it recently launched in early access on PC last May 6, 2024. It has acquired wide success, and players consider it to be better than the original, which is quite the feat. Unfortunately for some people, the game’s early access version is only available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
But, there are plans for the roguelike action role-playing game to arrive on consoles in the future. According to Supergiant Games, Hades 2 will fully launch on PC, Mac, and console platforms later down the line when the title is ready to leave early access. Although there haven’t been any official announcements about which console the title will be arriving on, Supergiant Games assures its community that it will come to various platforms in the future.
If you can’t wait for the game to arrive on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, or Nintendo Switch, it may be worth jumping into the early access version of Hades 2 on PC via Steam or the Epic Games store. It’s hard to say for sure how long development will take before Hades 2 is ready for full release, but players may be waiting up to a few months to a year or so before it reaches console platforms. It just really depends on your personal preference and what platforms are available to you.
