Where to Find Rusted Gear in ARC Raiders

Rusted Gear is a rare item in ARC Raiders used for several important upgrades, including the Gunsmith Workbench. Given its rarity, it can take hours to find more than one during your runs, especially if you don’t know where to look.

To save you time and effort, I’ve found the perfect location to search for Rusted Gear in ARC Raiders without getting shot at most of the time.

Best Rusted Gear Location in ARC Raiders

Rusted Gear is found in industrial areas and mostly commonly in cars as well as containers within these areas. Focus on the cars because the underground area in the Blue Gate map under the Warehouse Complex and Headhouse has literally hundreds of vehicles to loot.

You can enter this area either from the Gate Control Room and zipline to the basement or directly from the Outer Gates, though that’s riskier and has ARCs roaming around usually.

Once inside, regardless of your point of entry, you’ll be greeted with tons and tons of vehicles to loot.

Eventually, you should have enough Rusted Gears (3) for the required Gunsmith upgrade. While this location is usually pretty safe, there are some Ticks, Pops, and Fireballs to keep an eye out for. If you see any blue light or hear anything out of the ordinary, there’s an ARC around that needs to be dealt with.

If you’re focused on collecting Rusted Gears, I recommend prioritizing looting and equipping an augment with a Safe Pocket. You’ll gather plenty of Chemicals, Mechanical Parts, and other Industrial items while searching vehicles.

The key is getting your Rusted Gear home safely. Despite the number of vehicles around, it remains a fairly rare item, and you’ll likely only find a few after multiple searches. Avoid getting greedy or taking on additional quests while carrying them, as you’ll want to return safely with these intact.

Finally, you can come across these in other areas marked with the industrial tag, but this particular location is easily the best one in terms of spawn rate and ease of looting.
