In Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5, one of the Week 5 challenges is a special one as it tasks players with finding and digging up a buried Blue XP Coin in Retail Row.
While this sounds straightforward enough, it can be hard to find the exact location of this buried Blue XP Coin, and you may be uncertain as to how to dig it up once you find it.
To help, we’ve put together a quick guide showing you where to find the buried Blue XP Coin and how to dig it up in Fortnite.
Where to Find The Buried Blue XP Coin in Retail Row
The buried Blue XP Coin can be found in Retail Row in Fortnite. In the map image above, we’ve circled the exact location where the Blue XP Coin can be found. Specifically, you’re looking for a suspicious looking dirt mound near one of the houses in Retail Row.
If you’ve been working to complete other Week 5 challenges, the dirt mound may look similar to the ones that mark buried Gnome locations in Fort Crumpet and Pleasant Park.
To add even more clarity, we’ve included an image of what this dirt mound looks like when you stumble across it in Retail Row.
The dirt mound that marks the buried Blue XP Coin in Fortnite can be found near a yellow house in Retail Row towards the southern edge of the area near the snowy mountains.
It’ll be on the inner corner of the home’s fence near a small tree and a basketball hoop, so keep in mind that you’ll need to get closer to the house in order to see it.
When you find the dirt mound, you can dig up the Blue XP Coin by smacking it with your Pickaxe. After you’ve done this, the Blue XP Coin will pop up out of the ground, and you can collect it.
In doing so, you’ll earn yourself 20,000 XP in Fortnite, which can be really useful given the lack of XP coins this season.
If you get distracted (like if someone starts shooting at you), you can double check that you’ve collected the Blue XP Coin by going back to Retail Row in a subsequent match and checking the spot.
You’ll see the dirt mound there still, but it will look more flat, and you won’t be able to collect anything from it.
If you see this, you can rest assured that you collected the Blue XP Coin and earned 20,000 XP for your troubles.
