When is OG Fortnite Coming Back? – Answered

Second round of nostalgia

There is no doubt that the OG Fortnite Season was a smash hit for Epic Games and it even set the concurrent player record for the Battle Royale in 2023. Of course, players want more of the mode and it could reappear sooner than you think.

When Will Fortnite OG Return?

OG Fortnite will come back in 2024 for a second round. Because of the success of the limited-time season, Epic Games has already confirmed that Season OG would be brought back in the 2024 roadmap for the game. The news was broken on the main Fortnite Twitter/X account around the time that Chapter 5 was set to launch.

In the post, the Fortnite account said “Ngl the OG season far exceeded our expectations. So much so that we’d like to bring it back… *opens 2024 roadmap doc* In the meantime, see you on the Battle Bus.” When in 2024 the OG Season will return still remains to be confirmed. All anyone can do for now is speculate.

Of course, some hype needs to be built up again or players won’t care to come back to content they just recently spent one month playing. With that in mind, the second round of Fortnite OG will likely take place around the same time it did this year, which was in November. But we could see the mode return earlier than that.

If you weren’t able to play the first time, then the idea of the OG map returning can get a bit confusing. It’s not just the map and content from Season 1 of Fortnite. Instead, each week brings a new season from the original Chapter and the map slowly evolves with each week. That format could change a bit with the next release.

In the meantime, make sure you thank the bus driver in your next drop.
