If you've been eagerly awaiting the start of the holiday season in Fortnite, then join the rest of the community. While previous leaks had indicated that we'd be cracking into the winter madness very shortly, it looks like the previous commencement date might come and go. Here's what we know so far about when Fortnite Winterfest 2019 is starting.

When is Fortnite Winterfest 2019 Starting?

It had previously been suggested by the team at Epic and by leaks collected by the community that Winterfest 2019 was going to start on December 17 after an update was pushed through last week. However, the projected release window for an update including everyone's favorite snowy shenanigans has come and gone, and the official Fortnite Twitter has been posting about Save the World instead of what people have really been jonesing for.

It's already been largely confirmed by everyone that Fortnite Winterfest 2019 is going to have a bunch of challenges, otherwise known as the 14 Days of Fortnite. These challenges are going to include ways for players to acquire special festive presents which they won't be able to get outside of this limited-time event. It's also anticipated that this event is going to last until the first week of January, and that we could even be potentially at seeing new rewards go live every day once everything kicks off. We can't imagine that Winterfest won't be made available for everyone regardless of platform at the same time, which means that whether you're playing on PC, Android, iOS, Switch, Xbox One or PS4, we're all currently in the same boat when it comes to having to be patient.

When we know more about when Fortnite Winterfest 2019 is starting, we'll be sure to let you know. We're hoping that it won't be much longer, since everyone's clearly chomping at the bit to get on Fortnite Santa's nice list (or naughty, depending on your playstyle).
