When Does Kiryu Join The Party in Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth? – Answered

When does Kiryu join up with the crew?

Kazuma Kiryu has long since been the face of the Yakuza franchise, with Ichiban taking the reigns in the Like A Dragon entries. Infinite Wealth brings the dream team together to bust some heads, but when does Kiryu join the party?

When Do You Unlock Kiryu As A Party Member in Infinite Wealth?

If you’re eager to crack some skulls with the former face of the Tojo Clan, we can’t blame you in the slightest. You’ll just need to progress the story until you reach the start of Chapter 3, in which you’ll finally encounter the stoic hero in all of his glory. After a brief cutscene explaining his intentions and why he is currently where he is, you’ll bring him into the party and be ready to rock.

After getting the chance to battle against the legendary Dragon of Dojima in Yakuza 7: Like a Dragon, having him on your team is a fantastic feeling. He’s incredibly strong and packs a punch, and with his Resurgence of a Dragon ability, you can break out of the turn-based combat and connect with some button mashing just like the old days. Seems that you can’t always teach an old dog new tricks.

Even in his standard turn-based form, Kiryu can still connect with combos and heat actions so those who are getting accustomed to the new combat system can have something to work with. Keeping Kiryu in the proximity of enemies on the battlefield will allow him to perform wicked combos that deal plenty of damage, and heat actions can end a fight rather quickly. He needs the strength of his allies more now than ever, so make sure to use him to his full potential.
