What to Do With the Navigator’s Helm in Remnant 2

Navigate your way to some free rewards.

While playing through Remnant 2, you’ll find many secrets both intentionally and unintentionally. Some could be a safe that you find, which you put a code into to get a reward, while others can be so far off the beaten path that you could die if you don’t go in the correct direction. One such secret occurs on N’Erud, though the use of this item is quite confusing. Here’s what to do with the Navigator’s Helm in Remnant 2.

How Do You Get the Navigator’s Helm in Remnant 2?

You can find the Navigator’s Helm through a rare chance encounter when exploring N’Erud. When going about your business as usual, you may find a N’Erud zombie with a particularly strange piece of headgear. After killing it, you’ll obtain the headgear, which you can immediately put on, though how you use it is where things get confusing. It isn’t particularly great stat-wise, so what’s the point?

How to Use the Navigator Helm

With the Navigator Helm on, you’ll want to find a giant ship that’s crashed into the land of N’Erud. This is easy enough to spot, being in front of one of the major towers and near a Worldstone on my playthrough. Once there, find the secret way inside (which may involve some crouching) until you find the scanner eye. If you have the helm equipped, the door will let you into the ship’s cockpit. Inside the cockpit, you’ll find a ring, along with the Plasma Cutter long gun. This weapon deals some devastating damage up close, with its falloff beginning at 30m.

Its mod, titled Heat Sink, will drain the heat of the Plasma Cutter. While active afterward, the Plasma Cutter generates far less heat and sees its damage multiply up to 3x. This effect lasts 20s, with the overheat automatically going off when the mod is deactivated.
