Leveling is Destiny 2 can be tricky, because the Power Level is constantly changing each season, and there are so many activities it can be tough to know where to get the gear appropriate for your level. Not to mention a bunch of gear will only drop at certain levels. Here is the soft cap for Destiny 2 Season 15.

What The Soft Cap is In Destiny 2 Season 15

In season 15, the Power Level was increased by 10 levels, making it 1330. This is a smaller increase than the previous season which increased the Power Level by 50 points.

For new players and lower-level players, you don’t need to worry about this yet. That’s because the soft cap in Season 15 is 1270, which means all of the blue, purple, and exotic gear that drops randomly from any activity will be higher than your level if you are below 1270.

Once you hit 1270, you’ll need to start seeking out Powerful Gear, which can be found by going into the Director and looking for activities with the gold icon next to them. It will tell you the requirements to receive Powerful gear, which will drop all the way up to Power Level 1320.

If you want to hit the highest level in Destiny 2, you’ll need to seek out Pinnacle Gear, which will be the hardest challenge in the game.
