The Fatal Frame franchise made its popularity in the early 2000s, usually on the most popular console at that time. Today’s gamers, though, now have access to a variety of different console options to choose from. Having mostly restricted themselves to PlayStation 2 and the Wii series, Fatal Frame cannot copy this formula again. Thus, we see their Remastered Versions taking liberties to make games such as the Mask of the Lunar Eclipse and Maiden of the Black Water more compatible with today’s flexible gamer.

Consoles That the Mask of the Lunar Eclipse Will be Supported on
Previously, this fourth installment to the Fatal Frame franchise was only available to play on the Wii. Now upsurged by many newly updated consoles, there aren’t many who continue to play survival horror games such as Fatal Frame on the Wii. Like the Remastered Version of Maiden of the Black Water, the remastered Mask of the Lunar Eclipse will be available on multiple platforms. While only in digital format, it can be bought for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, and Steam. If bought on the PlayStation 4, it can be upgraded to the PlayStation 5 at no extra cost for any gamers who currently have the PS4, yet plan to get the PS5 later. The Gyro features do not operate on the Xbox versions nor on the Steam version, and the game will be available on Nintendo Switch Lite as well. For PC users, Steam isn’t the only place where you can get the game, as you can also purchase the game directly from the Epic Games store.
