Warframe: The Best Ways to Farm Cryotic

When it comes to some of the more frequently used resources in Warframe, farming them as quickly as possible is important. Here are the best ways to farm Cryotic in Warframe.

How to Farm Cryotic in Warframe

Cryotic is almost exclusively acquired from Excavation missions in Warframe, with each digsite completed granting 100 Cryotic. You can also get Cryotic as a bounty reward in the Orb Vallis and Plains of Eidolon, but this tends to be much less consistent so isn’t great for farming. Due to this, it’s best to farm the lowest-level Excavation mission that you can.

While I haven’t farmed Cryotic too much, I’ve found the most success running Everest, Earth due to how low enemy levels are on the mission. Given its nature, a lot of other players also tend to farm it. As such, you should have no problem getting four stacks so you can get multiple Excavation digsites as quickly as possible. A good team should have no issue getting a few thousand Cryotic per run.

As for the frame to bring, there’s a handful of options that can be great. Mag is a solid early frame for this scenario, thanks to her [4] ability being able to clean up trash mobs. Since I’m past that myself, I tend to run either Wisp for the easy health on the digsites, or Khora to trap anyone and everyone that comes near each digsite. You should take whoever you’re best with though, provided you have none of those three.

What is Cryotic Used For?

Cryotic is used in a ton of different recipes across all of Warframe. Listing them all off would make this article incredibly long, but some noteworthy recipes that require Cryotic include the systems of a ton of different frames, the Arca Plasmor, and of course, the Sibear. The last of which requires a staggering 30,000 Cryotic to craft. If you want to craft everything that needs Cryotic, you could need as much as over 200,000.
