Oh no, not another one.

Vampire Survivors is one of the most successful indie releases of the last five years, and its availability on multiple platforms, including mobile devices, along with a low price, played a big role in its success.

Vampire Crawlers, the turn-based roguelite deckbuider spin-off, is poised to be the next big thing from poncle, but is it coming to mobile devices? Here is everything you need to know.

Is Vampire Crawlers Coming to mobile?

Vampire Crawlers is coming to mobile devices, but not at launch.

At release, Vampire Crawlers is coming on PC via Steam, Xbox Series S|X, PS5, and Switch, but poncle, the studio behind the upcoming title, has confirmed in their official FAQ that the team is already hard at work on the mobile port as well.

When is Vampire Crawlers Releasing on Mobile?

Poncle has confirmed that Vampire Crawlers is coming to mobile devices later in 2026. They didn’t disclose a specific release date, but it’s set for release this year.

Unlike Vampire Survivors, which took a while to release on mobile, poncle is clearly aiming for a faster release on Android and iOS, thanks to a larger development team, likely to combat clones that will most definitely pop up after Vampire Survivors is out on PC and consoles.

On PC and consoles, Vampire Crawlers is priced at $10, but it’s possible that the mobile release will be free with ads, with a premium version available for purchase, just like Vampire Survivors.

Vampire Crawlers Cross-Save

In their official FAQ for Vampire Crawlers, poncle confirmed that they’re working on cross-save functionality for the mobile release.

Does the game support Cross Save between different platforms?
Not at launch, we're looking into it on time for the mobile ports.

This means that you’ll be able to share your progress across devices. Cross-save functionality with mobile devices for these short-run style games is a godsend. Vampire Survivors eventually got an update with cross-save functionality, and it really made sharing progress a painless experience thanks to an entirely optional account system.

Vampire Crawlers on Steam Deck

If you’re waiting for the mobile release but want a handheld experience, you’ll be glad to know that Vampire Crawlers perfectly works on the Steam Deck thanks to controller support. If you’re interested in trying it out, there’s a demo available on Steam, and poncle has confirmed that they won’t be taking it down even after the game is out.

Considering how popular Vampire Survivors is on the Steam Deck, I do not doubt that Crawlers will climb the most-played list at launch as well. Given the low system requirements for the title, you can expect to play the game for hours before running out of juice.

It’s nice to see early confirmation for the mobile release to avoid any unnecessary speculation, and poncle has already said they’ll support Vampire Crawlers for a long time, just like Vampire Survivors.

Ali Hashmi

Ali has been writing about video games for the past six years and is always on the lookout for the next indie game to obsess over and recommend to everyone in sight. When he isn't spending an unhealthy amount of time in Slay the Spire, he's probably trying out yet another retro-shooter or playing Dark Souls for the 50th time.
