What we know so far about the Act II Battlepass.

Fans of Riot Games’ multiplayer shooter Valorant need to get ready, because the game’s next chapter is about to kick off. Valorant Act II starts tomorrow, August 4, 2020. Along with the new content you can get for free, the update also introduces the Valorant Act II Battlepass. While we’ve seen a hint or two of what to expect, we don’t have the full details yet on what it includes.

Valorant Act II Battlepass Price and Content Hints

That said, we do have some basic information, provided by Riot Games ahead of the launch date. If you want to get in on the action, first of all, you’ll have to pony up some cash. If you want to purchase the Valorant Act II Battlepass, it’s going to run players 1,000 VP, or Valorant Points. That’s about the equivalent to ten bucks, which is about what you’d expect to pay for a season pass in games like this elsewhere as well.

As far as what comes in the Battlepass, that’s where the information hasn’t quite come out yet. Riot Games tells us the Battlepass will help players further customize their experience, noting it’s going to come with cosmetic items such as gun skins, gun buddies, sprays, player cards, player titles and Radianite Points. And as was the case with the first Battlepass, every item you unlock with the Valorant Act II Battlepass will be unique for the folks who purchase it. The Valorant development team has noted the content in the new Battlepass is based on data and feedback they received during the previous one, and have expanded on some of the more popular parts (more fun buddies like the toaster and cat), and more variety in spots like the gun skins and such instead of a more focused theme.

Once we know more about the specific contents in the Valorant Act II Battlepass, you can expect to find it all laid out on the site. For now, we’ll just have to wait until tomorrow for the season to officially start, and in the meantime check out details for the new Deathmatch mode, as well as the new Glitchpop skinline. We’ll have those details too, of course.
