There are a number of powerful bosses to fight in the open-world sections of Elden Ring. YOu’ll come across them naturally from exploring areas like Groveside Cave or the Summonwater Village. Here’s all of the Tibia Mariner locations and unlock Spirit Summons.
Where to Find The Tibia Mariner & Skeletal Militiaman Summon In Elden Ring
In order to fight the Tibia Mariner, you’ll need to go to the location marked on the map found in Western Limgrave.
Before reaching Summonwater Village, there will be a gold NPC on the outskirts of the village. Their name is D and talking to them before fighting will be important later on.
Now head to Summonwater Village and look around the waters surrounding this broken down ruined village. You’ll see a ghostly skeleton rowing a purple boat in the water.
Now you can fight it on foot, but it’s way easier to mount up on Torrent and just slice it up while circling around it. The boss will constantly be summoning more skeletons as the fight progresses and it will be easy to get overwhelmed on foot.
Once you defeat the Tibia Mariner it will drop both a Deathroot and the Skeletal Militiaman Ashes.
The Tibia Mariner will then be available in Liurnia of The Lakes, at the marked image below. This fight is slightly harder and the Mariner will now summon a giant skeleton to attack, you will not be able to attack the skeleton. Use the same strategy as the first fight.
After defeating the Tibia Mariner here, you will then have a chance to fight it again in the Atlus Plateau. Check the marked location on the map below.
The giant skeleton summons is now more powerful and has a large-reaching swipe attack. You can still use your mount and just hack away and move when the summoned skeletons get close. After defeating the Tibia Mariner here, you’ll receive Tibia’s Summons.
The Deathroot can be shown to D at the Roundtable Hold, specifically the one you met before entering the village who warned you about the Tibia Merrymen. This will lead to a new quest that will let you meet the Clergy Beastmen.
