The Best Classes in The Midnight Walkers

Balanced or not, the classes are all fun and unique.

Since the Midnight Walkers have only four classes available, it’ll be easier to compare them and see what each offers for each playstyle.

There are a few classes that clearly stand out, but we’ll still cover each class to provide a more detailed explanation of why they are effective in The Midnight Walkers.

S Tier – Bartender

The Bartender is by far the best class just because it can provide multiple ways to support while also having the ability to throw brews and debuffs.

His ability to use an area of effect healing over time skill to get everyone’s HP up is already S-tier level, combined with his other brews for additional healing.

It is very hard to learn and use, especially since you’ll have to learn all the combinations and press the correct keys to conjure the spells/casts, but with optimal play, the Bartender stands above all.

A Tier – Tank

The Tank is one of the strongest characters just because of his increased HP. Apart from the increased HP, he also uses weapons that can break fragile objects, which will give more loot in your runs. Those two unique points make the Tank really powerful in both PvE and PvP.

Since most fights are melee, especially in close quarters (mostly hallways), it is extremely hard to fight a Tank because you can never really go toe to toe with them because of their HP. You don’t really notice the tank being slow since all character movement is paced really slow.

Overall, the Tank reigns supreme in the early to mid-game, and it is one of the main reasons people have been complaining about class balancing since the playtests.

B Tier – Assassin and Hunter

The Assassin and the Hunter are in a tough position since two other classes shine very well already.

The Assassin is amazing in clearing out the walkers, especially with the slice-type attack from the Katana that can hit and stagger multiple walkers at once. With the added poison ability, the Assassin can also become annoying in PvP, assuming they can get near the enemy player to land a hit. With weapons like the Kukri or Daggers being extremely fast-hitting weapons, you can inflict poison really fast and disengage. The problem is that it is hard to catch up when you are about to commit to a push.

As for the Hunter, the spears are great for dealing with walkers in tight areas. You rarely have the problem of hitting other objects and getting staggered because your attacks are usually a thrust motion.

They also have an annoying ranged bow that is fairly weak, but they can chip through your health before getting into a fight. The Hunter also specializes in traps, which will make enemies wary of pushing corners and rooms.
