by Josh Hawkins

Middle-Earth: Shadow of War is now available for the world to dive into and enjoy, and while it’s been three years since the first Middle-Earth game released, the two games are still connected, in more than just story. The Nemesis system makes a triumphant return in Shadow of War, and players who enjoyed the system in Shadow of Mordor will want to know how to import their Nemesis Data into Shadow of War. Today we’ll go over everything you need to know to import your Shadow of Mordor Nemesis data over into Shadow of War, so that you can finally take down your biggest Nemesis of all.

How to Import Nemesis Data

If you’re anything like us, and you’ve been playing Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor up to the launch of the newest game in the series, Middle-Earth: Shadow of War, then chances are you’ve built up quite a name for yourself in the original game. You’ve probably also made a lot of enemies, and died a few times at least. Thanks to the Nemesis system, which was such a vital part of the first game, you can export your Nemesis data out of the game, that way you can import it into Shadow of War.

To import your Nemesis data, launch Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor and then ensure that the latest updates available for the game are downloaded. This will allow you to make use of the Nemesis Forge mode, which will allow you to transition your Nemesis data from Shadow of Mordor to Shadow of War. Once you’re sure that the game us updated, head into the Nemesis Forge game mode and it will pick out the strongest Nemesis that you had in Shadow of Mordor, as well as your most loyal orc follower, and prepare them to be imported into the sequel.

Now it’s time to load up Middle-Earth: Shadow of War. Load up your saved game, or just start a completely fresh start, and you should find your biggest Nemesis and your Follower from Shadow of Mordor into Shadow of War, allowing you to make use of them in the newest game from Monolith’ hit series.

Now that you know how to import your Nemesis data from Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor into Middle-Earth: Shadow of War, it’s time to hop into the game and start making a name for yourself taking out all the evil orcs that stand between you and turning Sauron’s armies against you.
