Project Zomboid: How to Attach Sheet Rope Guide

First off, you’ll need to craft sheet rope, since you won’t find any just lying around. Luckily, it’s super easy to prepare and only requires one material. You can craft sheet rope using a sheet, vest, blouse, sweater, pants, or a skirt. Really any piece of clothing will do since sheet rope is a very basic item. You only need one of these items to make it.

From here you can use sheet rope to rappel down buildings, even multiple story ones. However, you’ll need to attach the rope to something. In order to do this, you will have to use a hammer and (1) nail. It doesn’t matter how large the building is; it will only ever cost you one nail to attach.

Once you’ve found the window you want to throw the rope down from, open the window and right-click it. This will open up a drop-down menu and allow you to attach the rope. Click the “Add Escape Rope” option and there you have it. Now your rope will be good to go.

It’s important to note this only works when the window is open, this might seem obvious but sometimes you forget these things.

Zombies can break an active sheet rope if the window is open. So be sure to close the window when not using it. Otherwise, you might be in for a nasty surprise when the zombies try to kill you and your means of escape has vanished into the night. That’s everything you need to know about how to attach a sheet rope in Project Zomboid.
