All items you need to make food are found while you’re out on expedition, and some can be earned by completing quests in the game. The Mystical Shell is one of the more rare items, so don’t expect to find many of them, especially early in the game (see details below). However, keep playing expeditions and increasing the level of your Pokemon so you can fight harder enemies and earn better rewards for your trouble.

Mystical Shell Farming

You won’t start to see Mystical Shells pop up frequently until you get pretty far into the game. However, one of the best ways to farm Mystical Shells is to get to mission 12-1 and beyond, then repeat these missions until you get a Legendary Pokemon as the boss. You may have to repeat these missions several times until a Legendary Pokemon shows up, but if you defeat the legendary boss there’s a decent chance they will drop a Mystical Shell.

The more expeditions you complete the closer you’ll get to an expedition bonus, which can make it easier to obtain a Mystical Shell depending on the bonus you get. Suffice to say, it may be some time before you’ve played enough to find the Mystical Shells required to make Ambrosia of Legends a la Cube, so keep at it.
