Pokemon Indigo Disk: Is Marmalade Spicy? – Answered

It's no Lady Marmalade.

During your travels, you’ll need to make a Super-Spicy Sandwich for an Elite Trial hosted by Crispin. This sandwich consists of a wide variety of ingredients, and trainers are wondering if Marmalade, in particular, is a spicy ingredient in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: The Indigo Disk.

Will Marmalade Work for the Super-Spicy Sandwich in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: The Indigo Disk?

The Super-Spicy Sandwich consists of six different sandwich toppings, but you’ll encounter an even larger assortment during the Elite Trial itself. One of these is marmalade, a citrus preserve with a history that is centuries old. Many players may not have even heard of this favored breakfast spread, depending on region of origin, and so are seeing it for the first time in The Indigo Disk.

Unfortunately, (or fortunately, depending on your personal tastes), marmalade is not an ingredient in the Super-Spicy Sandwich. In fact, it isn’t even spicy at all. It’s a sweet treat for one to enjoy. So, please do not even think about including that on your sandwich! The following ingredients are what you will need to procure to be able to complete the Elite Trial for Crispin.

  • Jalapenos x 2.
  • Onion x 1.
  • Chili Sauce x 1.
  • Mayonnaise x 1.
  • Chorizo x 1.
  • Mustard x 1.

Mayonnaise is indeed an awful ingredient that isn’t spicy, but at least it tastes good and improves most things it touches. So, it can get a free pass this time.

How to Get Every Ingredient for the Super-Spicy Sandwich

Here’s how to get every ingredient necessary for the sandwich

  1. Find the black-haired Jalapenos boy behind the big rock, and pay him 50 BP. You can also battle him instead.
  2. Find the black-haired trainer by the blonde trainer and defeat him in battle to get Mayonnaise.
  3. You’ll need to correctly answer a riddle from another blonde student (answer: Mayonnaise) to get Vinegar, Egg, and Olive Oil.
  4. Find the short brown-haired student and trade your Egg for his Chorizo. Then trade your Vinegar to a girl trainer to acquire their Mustard.
  5. Find the female trainer by Crispin to acquire Potato Salad.
  6. Find the short blonde haired boy, then trade your potato salad for his Onion, Cucumber, and Prosciutto.
  7. Trade your Cucumber to the dark-haired girl for her Chili Sauce.
  8. Finally, talk with Crispin again to make the sandwich.

Now that you’ve created this rather adventurous and spicy sandwich, you can then take on Crispin in a Pokemon battle and defeat him. Another one bites the crust, as they say. Once that’s done and dusted, you should give Lacey a visit and complete her quiz-style Elite Trial.
