Pokemon Indigo Disk: How to Get Raging Bolt in Scarlet & Violet

How to Get Raging Bolt in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Indigo Disk

Before you can get your hands on Raging Bolt, you’ll have to catch plenty of Pokemon first, as its location will be revealed by pictures Perrin shows you after you complete her quest. She will ask you to fill the Blueberry Academy Pokédex with at least 200 Pokemon.

You can determine Raging Bolt’s location by looking at the pictures she shows you.

Raging Bolt is found in Area Zero, around the grassy areas of the higher levels. You can encounter it and initiate a battle just like with any other Pokemon. Head into the situation just like you would with any other Legendary Pokemon: bring plenty of Ultra Balls, or maybe a Master Ball if you’re so inclined.

Pokemon that can inflict status conditions like paralysis, freeze, or sleep wouldn’t go amiss, either.

Raging Bolt has Electric/Dragon typing, so to avoid knocking it out before you can catch it, stay clear of Ground, Dragon, Fairy, and Ice-type moves, as they’ll be super effective against it. If you don’t want to take risks, bring a Pokemon that knows False Swipe.

You could even use Raging Bolt’s special move, Thunderclap, against it. The move lets it attack first if your Pokemon is readying an attack. If you’re using a move like Sleep Powder, Raging Bolt’s attack will fail, and you’ll be unharmed.

Raging Bolt is exclusive to the Scarlet version, so if you’re playing Pokémon Violet, you’ll have to trade.
