Pokemon Indigo Disk: How to Get Latias in Scarlet & Violet

You’ll need to speak to Snacksworth after completing 30 BBQ quests to have Latias show up in your game. Snacksworth only becomes available after you’ve completed the campaign for Indigo Disk. Once he’s available, you’ll always be able to find him at the entrance of Blueberry Academy.

For every 10 BBQ quests you complete, Snacksworth will give you a new snack corresponding to a Legendary. Once you’ve checked off both of these requirements, speak to Snacksworth, and he’ll give you a Latias Snack, along with a vague hint that he met Latias while in the South Paldean Sea.

That’s precisely where we’ll need to go!

Head to Alfornada city’s waypoint, then go east. Your goal is to hit the thin shore between Cabo Poco and Alfornada. Latias will be on that shore right between the space in “South Province” in the label South Province Area Four.

Latias will simply be hanging out on the shoreline and won’t be aggressive when you see it. So, you have ample time to prepare your team before the fight. Here’s what to expect.

How to Defeat Latias in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Latias is a dual Dragon and Psychic-type Pokemon. It has significant weaknesses to Ice, Bug, Ghost, Dragon, and Fairy-type moves. You’ll also encounter it at level 70, making it significantly easier to fight than many of the Pokemon you encountered in The Indigo Disk.

Latias has the following moves:

  • Reflect Type.
  • Psychic.
  • Healing Wish.
  • Guard Split.

For that reason, the real challenge might be not killing it.

I actually opted to use Pokemon with strengths against Latias’ Psychic moves and then used attacks that were not very effective to whittle Latias down to size. Latias is resistant to the following moves:

  • Fire.
  • Water.
  • Electricity.
  • Grass.
  • Fighting.
  • Psychic.
