Pokemon Indigo Disk: How to Find Ditto Blocks (Scarlet & Violet)

They're just too annoying to find!

Farming BP around the Blueberry Academy is one of the main activities in the Indigo Disk DLC for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. And when you group up with other trainers, you might have to search for the elusive (and mildly infuriating) Ditto Blocks scattered throughout the Terarium.

How to Encounter Ditto Blocks in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

One of the Union Circle-exclusive BBQ in Indigo Disk requires finding a certain amount (from three to six) of Ditto Blocks in a certain Biome. They spawn randomly across the map everywhere that has those blocks (the ones you see in the Central Plaza). They’re easily distinguishable from regular blocks upon closer inspection as they’re purple and have the traditional Ditto smile.

Problems arise when you’re trying to find them while simultaneously going for other BP missions. They can easily go past the glance of four different trainers, so finding them is arguably the hardest Gold mission in the game.

The more people you have in your party, the more Blocks will appear, so it’s a full high-difficulty/high-reward situation. You can’t reroll Gold missions, so you’ll need to complete it eventually. And those big BP rewards are no joke either as they go all the way up to 600, so finding them is imperative.

The first tip is to avoid the central walls. Ditto blocks never spawn next to the walls around the Central Plaza, so don’t waste your time on these. They can be around corners in the map, though, so entrances and other spots next to healing points are valid places to search.

Secondly, avoid heading to the same places. Instruct everyone to scatter around certain corners so you won’t bump into each other while searching. Sometimes another person can find a block you happened to miss, but ideally, you should be covering as many areas as possible.

Every blocky area or structure has a chance to spawn a Ditto, and they’re completely randomized in each run. This includes those stair-like structures you occasionally find around, so remember to check them when scouting for blocks.

There’s no real trick that reveals the blocks instantly, aside from learning some of the spawn locations with time. These are still completely randomized in each Union Circle session, so it’s still up to your luck to find them. But the BP grind just can’t stop and you know it, so good luck on that task!
