Pokemon GO Wooper and Paldean Wooper Community Day: Event Date and Time, Special Research, Event Bonuses, and More

No Wooper's were lost on this watch.

This November, trainers worldwide best be on Wooper Watch because both Wooper and Paldean Wooper will be the featured Pokemon for Pokemon GO’s Community Day. Wooper, a Water/Ground dual-type Pokemon, was first introduced in Generation II, with Paldean Wooper, a Poison/Ground dual-type Pokemon, coming much later in Generation IX. With four Pokemon total to catch and evolve, it’s best to know all of the upcoming event details regarding November’s Pokemon GO Community Day so that you can take full advantage of everything that it has to offer!

Pokemon GO November Community Day: Wooper and Paldean Wooper All Event Details

Event Date and Time

The Pokemon GO November Community Day, which features both Wooper and Paldean Wooper, will take place on Sunday, November 5, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.

The featured Pokemon for November’s Community Day are Wooper and Paldean Wooper. The original Wooper evolves into Quagsire, and Paldean Wooper evolves into Clodsire. With four different Pokemon in total, trainers best be on the lookout to get their hands on as many shiny Pokemon as possible.

During Community Day and up to five hours after the event ends, trainers who evolve Wooper and Paldean Wooper into Quagsire and Clodsire will obtain an evolution with the following featured attack.

Evolving Wooper into Quagsire

Evolving Wooper into Quagsire will result in a Quagsire that knows the Charged Attack Aqua Tail.

  • Trainer Battles: 50 power
  • Gyms and raids: 50 power

Evolving Paldean Wooper into Clodsire

Evolving Paldean Wooper into Clodsire will result in a Clodsire that knows the Charged Attack Megahorn.

  • Trainer Battles: 110 power
  • Gyms and raids: 110 power

Special Research Story – A Muddy Buddy

You will be to purchase the Special Research Story – A Muddy Buddy for $1 USD or the equivalent in your local currency. Whilst not crucial to Community Day, the Special Research Story generally amplifies the experience and rewards players who purchase the ticket and who complete all of the rewards.

Event Bonuses

The following event bonuses will be active for the duration of the event.

  • Trainers will receive 2X Candy when catching a Pokemon.
  • Trainers will have a 2X chance of obtaining XL Candy when catching a Pokemon.
  • Incense that is activated during the event will last for an extended three hours.
  • Lure Modules that are activated during the event will last for an extended three hours.
  • Eggs hatching distance will be halved when put into incubators during the event.
  • Snapshots taken during Community Day will reward trainers with additional Wooper encounters.
  • Trainers will need 50% less Stardust when trading Pokemon.
  • Trainers can complete an extra Special Trade during the day.

Field Research

During the event, trainers can spin PokeStops to obtain special November Community Day themed Field Research. Completing these tasks will reward players with additional Wooper and Paldean Wooper encounters, Stardust, Ultra Balls, and more.

Post Community Day Special Raids

Tip:

You will need to attend the Community Day Special Raids in person. Trainers are required to use Regular or Premium Raid Passes. Remote Raid Passes cannot be used to participate.

The Community Day Special Raids will take place after Community Day ends. They will be active on Sunday, November 5, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time.

Completing the following raids will spawn additional Wooper and Paldean Wooper around the Gym for thirty minutes.

PokeStop Showcases and Stickers

During Community Day hours, trainers will be able to find PokeStop showcases that will feature either Wooper or Paldean Wooper! Show off your best Wooper and watch the rewards roll in!

As always, you will be able to obtain Community Day-themed stickers via a number of means! You can buy them directly from the in-game shop, receive them from gifts, or get them from spinning PokeStops!
