After the Pokemon Go fest last weekend, the community completed all 24 challenges in the Global Challenge Arena and has now unlocked the Ultra Unlock bonus events.

Pokemon Go Ultra Unlock Bonus Event Starts This Week | Everything You Need to Know 

In a blog post, Niantic has detailed what players can expect when Part 1 and 2 hit soon. 

Part 1 of the event will have Dialga appearing in five-star raids and Pokemon from various eras will be appearing more often. You’ll find fossilized Pokemon Like Cranidos and Shieldon, and possibly even shiny versions of these.

Part 1 will start on Friday, July 23, at 10 am your local time and run until August 3 at 8 pm. 

Here are the official notes for Part 1 from the blog post.

  • Magneton, Aerodactyl, Porygon2, and Golurk will be appearing in three-star raids.
  • Unown U, Cranidos, Shieldon, Bronzor, and Klink will be appearing in one-star raids. If you’re lucky, you might find a Shiny Unown U!
  • The following Pokémon will be appearing more frequently in the wild: Voltorb, Porygon, Omanyte, Kabuto, Baltoy, Cranidos, Shieldon, and more. If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny Cranidos or a Shiny Shieldon!
  • The following Pokémon will be hatching from 7 km Eggs: Omanyte, Kabuto, Aerodactyl, Lileep, Anorith, Cranidos, and Shieldon.
  • Complete Timed Research for a chance to earn encounters with certain event-themed Pokémon! This Timed Research will be available from Friday, July 23, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. local time. There will also be themed Field Research available at PokéStops throughout the event.

Part 2 will start on Friday, August 6 at 10 am and run until Tuesday, August 17 at 8 pm your local time. Palkia will be available in five-star raids during this time.

  • Alakazam, Kangaskhan, and Heracross will be appearing in three-star raids. If you’re lucky, you might find a Shiny Kangaskhan or a Shiny Heracross!
  • Unown U, West Sea and East Sea Shellos, Elgyem, and Espurr will be appearing in one-star raids. If you’re lucky, you might find a Shiny Unown U!
  • The following Pokémon will be appearing more frequently in the wild: Clefairy, Munna, Red-Striped and Blue-Striped Basculin, Elgyem, Heatmor, Durant, and more!
  • The following regional-exclusive Pokémon will be hatching from 7 km Eggs: West Sea and East Sea Shellos, Red-Striped and Blue-Striped Basculin, Heatmor, and Durant.
  • Complete Timed Research to earn encounters with certain event-themed Pokémon! This Timed Research will be available from Friday, August 6, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. local time. There will also be themed Field Research available at PokéStops throughout the event.
