Pokemon GO Ultra Unlock 2020 Bonuses

Pokemon GO Fest 2020 has wrapped up, except for an upcoming makeup event to compensate participants for some tech issues. But the yearly ripple effect from this year’s shenanigans are just getting started.

As is the yearly tradition, Niantic tosses a list of challenges at Pokemon GO Fest participants, and if they reach a certain number the whole community benefits via Ultra Unlock weeks. From now through most of August, a series of Ultra Unlock 2020 bonuses will be available. Here’s what you can expect, and when!

Pokemon GO Ultra Unlock 2020 Schedule

Ultra Unlocks are weekly bonus events that are spread out over three themed weeks, the first of which kicks off today, July 31, 2020. The event is live now, and it runs until August 7 at 1:00 PM PT. The theme for this week is dragons, and will feature various dragon-type Pokemon in various contexts.

Wild appearance boosts:

• Alolan Exeggutor 
• Horsea 
• Dratini
• Trapinch
• Swablu
• Bagon 
• Gible (rare)

7km egg hatching:

• Horsea
• Dratini
• Trapinch
• Swablu
• Bagon
• Gible (rare)
• Deino (rare)

Also, Rayquazza will show up in 5-star raids, and a Timed Research lasting through the event will give players a chance to catch two Deinos.

Week two immediately picks up after the first week ends, running until August 14 at 1:00 PM PT. The theme here is Enigma Week, with some of the more mysterious Pokemon featured.

7km egg hatching:

Week three is Unova Week, and that week will see some Pokemon GO debuts! Week three picks up right where week two leaves off, and runs until August 21 at 1:00 PM PT. 

Debuting pokemon:

• Sewaddle
• Cottonee
• Emolga
• Bouffalant

Wild appearance boosts (and 7km eggs):

• Sewaddle
• Cottonee
• “other Pokémon originally discovered in the Unova regio”n
• Emolga (rare)

Around the New York USA region, Bouffalant will make wild appearances and hatch from 5km eggs

Raids:

• Roggenrola
• “other Pokémon originally discovered in the Unova region”
• Genesect (5-star)

That’s all for the planned three weeks of Ultra Unlock 2020 events. It’s three straight weeks of Pokemon GO mania, all thanks to the Pokemon GO Fest 2020 attendees and their completed challenges.
