Pokemon GO: Mega Slowbro Weaknesses, Counters and Best Moves Guide

From April 17 to May 2, Trainers will find that there’s a new boss to take down. It’s Mega Slowbro, and it’s taking on all challengers.

When it comes to Mega Pokemon, Mega Slowbro might be one of the weakest. It’s one of the worst water-type Megas to bring and a so-so Psychic attacker. But if you really love it, you’re going to want to take it down during this event. As a Psychic- and Water-Type Pokemon, Mega Slow bro is weak to Electric, Grass, Bug, Ghost, and Dark-Type moves.

Best Counters for Mega Slowbro in Pokemon GO

That gives us plenty of fantastic counters to bring against it. Some of the best counters, listed from most effective to least, are:

  • Mega Gengar with Shadow Claw and Shadow Ball
  • Mega Sceptile with Fury Cutter and Frenzy Plant
  • Mega Banette with Shadow Claw and Shadow Ball
  • Mega Manectric with Thunder Fang and Wild Charge
  • Mega Houndoom with Snarl and Foul Play
  • Mega Gyarados with Bite and Crunch
  • Mega Veunsaur with Vine Whip and Frenzy Plant

While Mega Slowbro isn’t S-Tier amongst Megas, it can still be quite the challenge. Bring your best Ghost, Electric, Grass, or Dark Pokemon to crack this Pokemon’s shell(der).

Best Moves for Mega Slowbro in Pokemon GO

Once you have enough Mega Energy for Slowbro, you might be wondering how best to build it. Offensively, you’ll want to opt for Confusion and Psychic, as this offers the best damage per second. And, as mentioned earlier, Slowbro simply isn’t the Pokemon you want to bring as your Water-Type.

Defensively, you’ll… also want to use Confusion and Psychic.
