Pokemon GO April Content Update Events, Raids, and More

The April Content Update for Pokemon GO has been announced by Niantic, and some big things are waiting in the store for the fans. While there will be specialized events as part of World of Wonders, the general content looks as appealing.

Pokemon GO April Content Update Featured Pokemon and Raids

For the month of April, there will be four featured Pokemon:

• Heracross
• Kartana
• Entei
• Celesteela

Out of the four, Kartana and Celesteela will be making their shiny debuts, but you’ll have to depend on your luck to find one. As usual, there will be some exciting raids that will take place in the next month.

Five-Star Raids

• Kartana (Northern Hemisphere/ April 4 – April 12)
• Celesteela (Southern Hemisphere/April 4 – April 12)
• Tapu Bulu (April 12 – April 25)
• Registeel (April 25 – May 2)

Mega Raids

• Mega Charizard X (April 4 – April 13)
• Mega Heracross (April 13 – April 25)
• Mega Aggron (April 25 – May 2)

Shadow Raids will feature Shadow Entei, and will be available during weekends for the players.

Pokemon GO April Content Update Events

The summer month will have plenty of special events taking place throughout the next four weeks.

• Sizeable Surprises (April 4-9)
• April Community Day Classic (April 7 – 2 pm to 3 pm)
• Bug Out (April 12-17)
• Mega Heracross Raid Day (April 13)
• April Community Day (April 20)
• Sustainability Week (April 22-26)
• Hatch Day (April 28)

Pokemon GO April Content Update Raid and Spotlight Hours

Raid Hours will take place between 6 and 7 PM local time on the following dates, with a focus on specific Pokemon.

• Tapu Lele (April 3)
• Kartana (April 10)
• Celesteela (April 10)
• Tapu Bulu (April 17)
• Tapu Bulu (April 24)

The following Spotlight Hours will be active in April between 6 and 7 PM local time. All featured Pokemon will have 2x attributes activated for them.

• Zubat (April 2/2x Transfer Candy)
• Croagunk (April 9/2x Evolution XP)
• Caterpie (April 16/2x Stardust)
• Weedle (April 16/2x Stardust)
• Wurmple (April 16/2x Stardust)
• Trubbish (April 23/2x Catch XP)
• Clefairy (April 30/2x Catch Candy)

All the Pokemon available during Raid and Spotlight Hours could appear as shiny variants based on your luck. The developers have already disclosed a lot of details about the upcoming Sizeable Surprises event, so make sure to check it out.
