Updates to Lucky Pokemon

For the event period, trainers will be able to trade and receive even more Lucky Pokemon. The amount has increased from 15 to 25.

On a more permanent note, Niantic has changed up the Lucky Pokemon system, and any Pokemon that a trainer has had since 2018 will become Lucky when traded to another trainer, as long as they haven’t exceeded the daily limit. This is a great way to dust off some of the older Pokemon that have been sitting in your storage for years. This change will go live at the same time as the event.

  • Trainers will receive 3X XP when catching a Pokemon.
