The Tesla Gun is a powerful weapon in Call of Duty: WW2’s Nazi Zombies mode, and utilizing its strengths can help you get far in the game’s main Easter egg. But if you really want to make the most of this gun, you’re going to need to know how to upgrade it and make it even more powerful. That’s where we come in. How to Unlock Midnight Upgrade

We’ve already shown you how to get the Tesla Gun, and even how to unlock the Bloodthirst upgrade for it. Now, however, let’s talk about how you can unlock two new variations of the weapon, and upgrade its damage. First up is the Midnight upgrade.

To get started on this unlock you’ll need to head to the Courtyard and locate the statue with the staff, sitting to the left of the fireplace looking item on the wall (this is actually a charging station that you’ll make use of shortly). Scan the statue, and it will explode. Once the statue has exploded, a Tesla Gun battery will be exposed, and you’ll have to shoot it with your Tesla Gun. Once you’ve shot the battery, pick it up, and then look for the charging station to the right—which we mentioned above—and place the battery into it.

Now it’s time to gather up a large group of zombies and lead them to the S-Mine trap nearby. Kill a large group of zombies using the mine trap, two times, and the battery should become fully charged. Pick up the charged battery and then make your way through the Casual Easter egg (the one that is guided) until you reach the lightning rods. One here, head down to the machine inside the Lab and place the battery inside of the machine where you got one of the Tesla Gun pieces from. You’ll need to protect the machine until it finishes upgrading the battery.

With the battery upgraded, place it and the Tesla Gun inside of the area where you built the gun, and then upgrade it to unlock the Midnight upgrade for the Tesla Gun.

How to Unlock the Hurricane Upgrade

Unlocking the Hurricane upgrade for the Tesla Gun is very similar to the way that you unlock the Midnight upgrade, however, you’ll need to make your way to the Lab and search for the Schildblitz machine instead. Once you find the machine, look for a set of stairs to the left, and in the middle of that staircase you should find a metal door.

You can open this door up by leading a Bomber enemy to it, and then blowing them up. If you manage to do this correctly, a Tesla Gun Battery will explode out of the door. Pick it up and take it to the charging station inside of the Electric Trap. To charge it you’ll need to kill 2 Wustling Zombies inside the trap, by activating it twice. The enemies must die before the trap finishes working in order for them to count.

Once the battery is charged, pick it up and make your way through the casual path of the main Easter egg until you reach the lightning rods. After you reach this point, head down to the Lab, and look for the machine where you first got one of the Tesla Gun pieces from, and toss the battery into it. Now protect the machine while you wait for it to upgrade the battery.

When the battery is fully upgraded, take it and the Tesla Gun and drop them in the area where you assembled the Tesla Gun. This will upgrade the Tesla Gun to the Hurricane variant, allowing you to do more damage.
