If you’re terrified of some of the monsters inhabiting Hoarfrost Reach, we don’t blame you. There’s some pretty intense enemies that are really going all out to take you down in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, and some of the variant species that you’ll encounter definitely have your number and are waiting to whoop your butt. Our Monster Hunter World Iceborne Viper Tobi-Kadachi guide will help you take down this pesky venomous foe.
Monster Hunter World Iceborne Viper Tobi-Kadachi Guide
The Viper Tobi-Kadachi is obviously based off its cousin the Tobi-Kadachi, which you can find roaming around in the Ancient Forest. It’s pretty dangerous, mostly because of its increased mobility and the fact that it’s picked up a rather annoying new ability: shooting poisonous darts out of its tail. Yes, you read that right. Trying to avoid the tail and sticking near its head doesn’t quite work either, considering how its bite hurts worse than its bark.
Avoiding the tail is a matter of getting its attack range down to a science. Sure, you’re going to get it wrong every now and again, which means that you should pack your fair share of Antidotes if you don’t want to be downed by its sweeps, darts, and other assorted shenanigans. The good thing to note about the Viper Tobi-Kadachi is that it tires itself out significantly after each barrage of attacks, so use that chance to go in hard on its head.
Here are some tips and tricks for taking down the Viper Tobi-Kadachi:
- Pack some Thunder or Ice weapons, contrary to the strategy you’d use for its smaller cousin
- It’s particularly resistant to Paralysis and Poison
- If you have Antidote Decorations, you can negate its poison entirely
- Watch out for being paralyzed by frontal bites
- Hit its head to slow it down and make it easier to handle
Now that you have our Monster Hunter World Iceborne Viper Tobi-Kadachi guide in hand, it should be easy to knock this toxic predator off its pedestal in Hoarfrost Reach. Having some trouble with another acidic enemy? Our Acidic Glavenus guide is probably going to be right up your alley.
