Mewgenics Launch Timing, Pricing and Confirmed Platforms
I can't believe it's actually coming out.
Originally announced nearly 14 years ago, Mewgenics, the incredibly ambitious roguelike tactics title from Edmund McMillen and Tyler Glaiel, is almost here. With hundreds of hours of promised content, Mewgenics is primed to be the duo’s next big roguelike obsession.
Here’s a breakdown of Mewgenics pricing, launch times, and where you can expect to play it at launch.
Mewgenics Release Timer
Mewgenics launches on Steam at 9 AM PST on February 10, 2026. It’s a global launch and will be available at the same time everywhere. I’ve set up a handy countdown timer so you know exactly when you can purchase it and start playing:

Mewgenics Pricing
Mewgenics will cost $30 on Steam and will support regional pricing as well. Tyler Glaiel confirmed on X that it will follow Steam’s recommended pricing for other regions.
There’s a good chance that there will be a launch discount as well. If I had to guess, it would be around ten percent, but even without that, it’s a pretty reasonable price for a game with this much scope and content.
All Mewgenics Platforms
Mewgenics is currently launching exclusively on PC through Steam. You can add it to your wishlist at the following link. It isn’t launching on GOG or the Epic Games Store for now.
Mewgenics is also verified for the Steam Deck, and it’s a perfect way to experience the title thanks to its low requirements, adaptable interface and controls.
Will Mewgenics Release on Consoles?
Development for a console release of Mewgenics has already started, according to Edmund McMillen, with more news coming in the Summer.
It seems like Switch 2 is a safe bet for now, but I would not be surprised if it comes out on PS5 as well. Depending on how well it does, I do not think a console release by the end of the year is unlikely.
Can You Pre-Order or Preload Mewgenics?
No, Mewgenics is not available for pre-purchase, which means you can’t preload it either.
According to the system requirements, you only need 6 GB of free space to install it, so it’s not exactly a huge download that warrants a preload. Here are the minimum requirements for Mewgenics, which should run on most systems from the last decade without much trouble:

Mewgenics’ development has been incredible to follow, and it’s great that the title is finally launching, earning stellar critical reception and becoming one of the best-reviewed titles of the year.
