If you’ve been playing Pokemon GO recently then you’re going to be intimately familiar with the influx of Team Rocket content that’s reared its head. With the new Rocket executives being introduced to the community and the leak about the Giovanni badge, it looks like we’re all gearing up to take down these baddies. Looming in the Shadows Pokemon GO Research Guide
First things first, you’re going to have to have completed the Special Research set of tasks called A Troubling Situation, which involves the following:
- Evolving 2 Pokemon
- Powering up a Pokemon 5 times
- Catching 2 Shadow Pokemon
- Defeating 3 Team Rocket grunts
- Purifying 3 Shadow Pokemon
- Purifying either a Fire, Grass, Water, or Shadow Pokemon
Once you’ve completed the A Troubling Situation, you’ll be able to access the Looming in the Shadows Pokemon GO Research quest. Now, with this in hand, here’s what we know you’ll be asked to do as a Trainer to complete the various objectives:
- Spin 10 PokeStops
- Defeat 3 Team Rocket grunts
- Catch 1 Shadow Pokemon
- Spin a PokeStop 5 days in a row
- Purity 15 Shadow Pokemon
- Win 5 raids
- Build a Rocket Radar out of Mysterious components
- Find Team Rocket Leaders using the Radar and catch their Shadow Pokemon
- Track down Giovanni and rescue a Legendary Shadow Pokemon
