Line in the Sand Destiny 2 Guide – How to Get This Weapon

by Ginny Woo

With the Season of the Dawn kicking off now in Destiny 2, it’s no surprise that people are looking to pick up the Line in the Sand Destiny 2 Fusion Rifle. We’re all about the weapon grind over here as Guardians, so once we found out about this bad boy, we absolutely had to have it. Here are some of our tips and tricks on how to complete your collection.

Line in the Sand Destiny 2 Guide – How to Get This Weapon

The Line in the Sand is a new addition that’s showed up because of the Season of the Dawn. We’ve covered off information about this season’s Ritual weapons before, so you might find that helpful if you’re more curious about the wider variety of firearms that you can pick up. This particular Fusion Rifle will fire a single precision energy bolt with a vertical recoil from a long range, making it ideal for you to pick off threats from a distance.

Now, you’re likely more concerned with actually getting the weapon. Well, the news is that it’s totally up to RNG, which is not a surprise per se. If you want to get this, you need to ensure that you’ve got the Mars Obelisk under your belt. These Obelisks are ways to acquire Timelost bounties in the new season, and select bounties are only available if you’re smart enough to level up the Resonance Rank of your Obelisks. In the case of getting Line in the Sand, the Timelost Weapon Bounty quest that endows you with the weapon is a Rank 5 bounty, so your Obelisk will have to be at that rank before you can access it, complete the bounty and hopefully get this weapon – you’re going to need a hell of a lot of Polarized Fractaline.

Now that you know how to get the Line in the Sand Destiny 2 Fusion Rifle, we would recommend that you start farming said Polarized Fractaline and running the Sundial’s challenges so that you can level up your Obelisk and gamble on getting this weapon from the Rank 5 bounties. With Final Fantasy XIV, Destiny 2, and World of Warcraft on her plate, she's always got something to chat about and a sneaky guide up her sleeve. If writing's not on the cards, then she's probably drinking way too much coffee.
