LEGO Fortnite XP Cap Explained

Last XP call!

Leveling up can be much easier when you play LEGO Fortnite compared to the standard Battle Royale modes, and for that reason, an XP cap was placed. I’ll explain what that cut-off means in this guide and how often it will appear.

You can only earn 420,000 XP per day before you hit the XP cap in LEGO Fortnite. If you split the amount of XP earned in time intervals, that evens out to around 30,000 XP every 15 minutes while you are in any of your worlds. So after about 3.5 hours in a session, the experience you earn will get capped on a passive level. That doesn’t mean you can’t pursue any more challenges. Those should be on their own tracker and can only be completed once.

The reason there is an XP Cap for LEGO Fortnite is that the gains are quick and incredibly easy. When you enter any world, you can simply load in and leave your character to passively farm experience. You could go learn a new recipe, read a book, or watch a new movie and you will continue to earn XP for your account. Capping those gains at 420,000 XP stops players from reaching level 1,000 in a week by just existing.

Those of you who don’t keep up with Weekly Challenges will likely earn more XP by just playing Battle Royale or completing tasks in your LEGO world. After you’ve caught up on all your challenges and earned that backlog of experience, you can go back to passively earning more XP. Just remember that all these modes carry over to the same progress in your Battle Pass so it all leads to the same rewards in the end.
